BIO
Evan Spigelman (they/them/the “gay ‘she’”) is a theatermaker whose time is spent as an actor, cabaret artist, designer and light-bender (theatrical electrician). Recent Off Broadway and Regional peformance credits include HILMA (Wilma Theater), Ocean Filibuster (A.R.T/Pearl D'Amour), Taylor Mac’s A 24 Decade History of Popular Music (Pomegranate Arts), The Indigo Room (Timothy White Eagle), The Faghag and Her Friends in the Summer of Love (Penny Arcade), among others. Performance art credits include “Mouthbrain” and the self co-produced “Creep Cuts”. Their current cabaret work, “The Bergman/Lansbury Test 2”, is currently in development. From time to time, Evan can be seen clowning around as his trash-drag alter-ego Mz. Asa Metric. Evan has worked with artists such as Taylor Mac, Justin Vivian Bond, Penny Arcade, Mink Stole, Peaches and more.
